Located in the Eastlake/North Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA, Dolled Up Dogs is a women and queer owned dog grooming business that provides a calm, friendly environment for both employees and dogs.
Job Summary:
Receptionist at our salon every Saturday 10:30AM - 5:30PM, starting ASAP.
Candidates must have flexibility to provide coverage for Friday reception shifts as needed.
We’re seeking a team member who’s interested in staying long term, with a minimum six month commitment.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be the friendly face welcoming clients on Saturdays, assisting with grooming appointments, and ensuring every pet and owner feels valued and cared for. Your multitasking abilities will help coordinate grooming schedules, handle pet check-ins and check-outs, and provide a positive experience for every visitor. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for animals with engaging customer interactions in a lively, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage appointment scheduling with Vagaro
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Handle phone inquiries and bookings
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, concerns and feedback promptly
- Communicate effectively with our groomers, seeking clarification when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe reception area
- Must be ok with sweeping, mopping & sanitizing
- Closing tasks
Skills:
- Ability to work independently on Saturdays while maintaining a lively and energetic attitude
- Strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with clients
- Experience with the Vagaro system is preferred; candidates must be able to learn it promptly
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Able to problem solve and take initiative
- Willing to learn and adapt in a hands-on work environment
Experience - preferred but not necessary
- Previous experience in pet grooming, veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or kennel work is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a receptionist
- Knowledge of animal care and general animal handling
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
