Position Summary
Diamond Environmental Services is seeking a motivated and organized Sales Assistant to support our Sales Team by processing customer orders, preparing quotes, assisting customers, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. This position works closely with Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting to provide timely and accurate service to both new and existing customers.
What You'll Do
- Process customer orders accurately using internal software
- Answer incoming calls from customers and Sales Representatives
- Assist customers with service changes, billing questions, and account inquiries
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotes for multiple service lines
- Explain pricing, billing cycles, and payment terms
- Process one-time service requests and support special projects
- Maintain detailed customer notes and account activity
- Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve customer concerns
- Assist with accounts receivable inquiries when needed
- Support outside sales representatives with job walks and dig alerts
- Maintain high customer service standards while meeting daily productivity goals
- Cross-train in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Previous customer service, sales support, dispatch, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with CRM or ERP software (Tower experience is a plus)
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Valid California driver's license and insurable driving record, if required for the position
