Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment on construction sites or in existing facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications
- Perform welding tasks as needed for pipe connections and system repairs, ensuring strong and leak-proof joints
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to site safety protocols
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning in accordance with project specifications
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues within plumbing or HVAC systems during field service or remodeling projects
Skills
- 8 Years Minimum Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in HVAC systems, schematics, and general maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly on-site
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site access or material transport purposes
- Experience in remodeling, assembly work, handyman tasks, or general maintenance is a plus
