Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, patient monitoring, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of client spaces
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities using personal transportation or agency vehicles
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and communicate effectively with clients and team members about resident’s <PERSON>’s needs
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior related to dementia care, Alzheimer’s care
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or developmental delays such as autism or intellectual disabilities support
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Certification in CPR and First Aid; and PPD shot
- Must be able to pass a background check
