Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team! Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with care.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting.
- Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards, including manual handling protocols for heavy lifting and moving bulky items safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, floors, and storage spaces.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and other sanitation tools with proper training.
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is highly valued.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Experience with food handling, basic knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards related to sanitation, hygiene, and manual handling practices.
- Prior banquet or culinary experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
