Responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections and minor repairs on commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards while providing professional service to commercial clients.
Primary Job Function:

Arrive at assigned job sites on time and prepared, following scheduled maintenance routes and dispatch instructions.

Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, exhaust systems, and related equipment.

Conduct system inspections, performance checks, filter changes, belt replacements, lubrication, and cleaning of components.
- Identify potential equipment issues, document finding, and report recommendations to the Department Manager.

Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed during maintenance visits.

Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding maintenance performed, system condition, and recommended next steps.

Support identifying repair, replacement, or upgrade opportunities in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely maintenance reports, service tickets, and required documentation.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold company service standards.

Follow all safety procedures, codes, and regulations while on job sites.

Required Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

CFC universal certification.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and preventative maintenance practices.
- Experience making sound repair vs. replace decisions.

Advanced customer service and communication skills.

Ability to safely operate lifts, ladders, and other required equipment.

Demonstrated leadership and accountability in fieldwork.

Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices and air balancing principles.
Preferred Qualifications

EPA Universal Certification.

Certificate of completion from an accredited HVAC technical program.

NATE Certification.

Fully equipped with basic HVAC service tools.

OSHA knowledge.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2-5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.

HVAC tech school certificate or equivalent training preferred.
Physical Requirements
