Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery to produce high-quality components and products efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and precision measurement will ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly, meeting strict quality standards. Duties
- Operate a range of machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming equipment to produce parts according to technical specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to set up and adjust machines accurately.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; perform basic fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Assist with tooling setup, changeovers, and calibration of machinery for different production runs.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
- Document production activities accurately, including shift reports, inspection logs, and maintenance records.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or CNC programming is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, shop math, and technical drawing analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake operations, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges confidently for dimensional verification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with a focus on safety standards in production.
- Basic understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software or CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively.
- Prior experience with packaging operations or assembly line work is a plus but not required.
