We are currently hiring an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our paving team. This role is critical to producing smooth, consistent, high-quality asphalt surfaces and is best suited for a professional who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and doing the job right.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and control the asphalt screed to achieve proper thickness and smoothness
- Work closely with the paving crew to ensure consistent, high-quality finishes
- Adjust screed settings to meet project specifications and site conditions
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate clearly with crew members to coordinate workflow
- Assist with other paving tasks as needed to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe job-site environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an Asphalt Screed Operator or similar paving role
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving equipment and processes
- Ability to read and follow project plans and specifications
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license required
- Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed
