We are a statewide personal injury law firm seeking to hire a FT Paralegal. The position will be based in our Newburgh office.
Duties for this person will include, but not be limited to:
- Act as the client's main point of contact
- Draft and respond to legal correspondence, including letters to clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and defense counsel
- Track and manage legal deadlines, including court filings and statute of limitations
- Communicate regularly with courts, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation
- Monitor and maintain the overall status of assigned case files to ensure timely progression
- Assist attorneys with case preparation and organization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case management systems
In addition to above, to be considered, applicants must be professional, client service oriented, able to accomplish tasks within time constraints and have excellent computer skills. They should also be organized and have a caring and concerned attitude.
A Bachelor's Degree and/or a Paralegal certificate is required; prior experience in a personal injury law firm would be a plus, but not required. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
