Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Food Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, explaining daily specials and answering questions about menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Northstar POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash and credit card payments accurately, processing transactions with basic math skills and ensuring proper change is given.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly to foster excellent guest relations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Northstar or Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to assist guests with selections confidently.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to build rapport with diverse guests.
- Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Understanding of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
