Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to children and individuals with disabilities in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged youth, ensuring their safety and emotional comfort at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, dressing, and nap times for infants and toddlers
- Support early childhood education activities by implementing age-appropriate teaching strategies that promote childhood development and learning
- Engage children in educational play, creative activities, and social interactions to foster growth and behavior management skills
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child safety or well-being and reporting them to appropriate authorities
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure immediate response to emergencies
- Collaborate with families, teachers, or other caregivers to develop individualized care plans that meet each child's unique needs
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their specific needs
- Extensive childcare experience including babysitting, nannying, daycare work, or classroom teaching with young children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Ability to implement infant care routines such as feeding schedules and diaper changes effectively
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect
- Certification in CPR and first aid from recognized organizations
- Strong teaching experience with young children through youth programs or preschool settings
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude essential for nurturing environments
