Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely, comfortably, and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving techniques and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including ambulatory vehicles and accessibility vans. A commitment to safety, exceptional customer service, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including ambulatory vehicles and accessibility vans.
- Ensure timely delivery of passengers to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all company policies related to safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger needs and concerns promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and customer service techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass National & State Criminal Background Checks, Pre-employment, and annually thereafter.
- Drug & Alcohol Screen Results: Pre-employment, Post-Accident, Upon suspicion, and Random per current FTA regulation.
- Experience driving ambulatory vehicles; familiarity with accessibility vans is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Previous experience in logistics or transportation is preferred but not required.
