Job Title: Barista (Temporary / On-Call)
Job Overview:
LGC Hospitality Staffing is hiring friendly and dependable Baristas to support cafés, coffee shops, corporate dining facilities, hospitals, colleges and universities, hotels, and other hospitality venues. This is a temporary, on-call position ideal for individuals who enjoy providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment while preparing high-quality coffee and specialty beverages.
As a Barista, you will prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty drinks, assist customers with their orders, operate the register, and maintain a clean and organized café environment while representing LGC professionally at client locations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to recipes and client standards
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
- Operate cash registers and accurately process customer transactions
- Prepare and serve pastries, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go food items as assigned
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, food items, and other café supplies throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of beverage stations, work areas, equipment, and dining areas
- Operate espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and client-specific procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, inventory, and cleaning duties as assigned
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work

Requirements:
- Previous barista, coffee shop, café, food service, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience operating espresso machines and preparing specialty coffee beverages preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to various job sites
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
Compensation & What We Offer:
- $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
