Maintenance Mechanic:

We are working with an established manufacturing company based in North Wales, PA. They are recruiting a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team on a day shift in return for an hourly rate in the region of $30.00 – $40.00 per hour, with flexibility for highly skilled candidates, along with excellent employment benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, low employee healthcare costs, overtime opportunities and a stable, long-term work environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair production machinery to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on custom-built manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns
- Inspect, repair and replace machine components including pulleys, cylinders, bearings and drive systems
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting, including motors, controls and machine wiring
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Work closely with production operators to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work orders
- Promote safe work practices and follow all maintenance safety procedures
- Work collaboratively within a small maintenance team while remaining capable of working independently
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Strong industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Electrical troubleshooting experience highly preferred
- Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, cylinders and drive systems
- Experience maintaining stamping presses or similar industrial equipment preferred
- Familiarity with PLCs and ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a lean manufacturing environment
- Team-oriented attitude with a hands-on approach to maintenance
Preferred Experience:
- Multi-skilled maintenance background with both mechanical and electrical experience
- Experience supporting custom-built manufacturing equipment
- Preventative maintenance program experience
- Stamping press equipment experience
- Manufacturing automation experience
