We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to become a key member of our manufacturing operations in Metro Detroit. This permanent, direct-hire opportunity offers a chance to contribute to our ongoing production success.
Core Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive electrical control designs, utilizing AutoCAD to produce schematics for both new assembly systems and equipment retrofits.

Collaborate with the engineering department to select and integrate robotic welding peripherals, such as torches, weld guns, cabling, tool changers, and maintenance accessories, to ensure optimal system performance.

Maintain and develop PLC and HMI software solutions directly on the production floor to support seamless equipment operation.
This position is a salaried, full-time role that functions as a core part of our staff, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Professional Qualifications:

Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or alternatively, hold five or more years of relevant industry experience or a balanced mix of training and professional background.

Demonstrate technical proficiency in utilizing Allen Bradley Microview software and Fanuc programming environments.

Apply expertise in Motoman robotic programming systems.
