We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tailor specializing in women's bridal and formal wear to join our team in Flower Mound!
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate fittings and expert alterations/tailoring on bridal and formal gowns according to customer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean & organized work environment
Required Skills
- Proficient in using industrial sewing machines (Straight stitch, coverstitch, blind hem, serger, narrow hem)
- Proficient in hand sewing
- Math skills necessary for measuring and calculating measurements
- Patternmaking
- Proficient in English
- Ability to manage work orders and ensure items are completed on time.
Pay
Pay depends on prior work experience and can be discussed as an hourly rate or commission per dress completed. The estimated target salary will be $20-30 / hour

Ahem Alterations is an alterations studio with two location, Flower Mound and Dallas. Our goal is two-fold. First, we aim to provide a fresh experience to a traditional trade. This means rethinking how people think about tailoring & alterations. Second, we aspire to elevate the tailoring and alterations profession by providing a fun yet professional work environment that helps tailors sharpen their skills and collaborate on tasks.
