Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, OB-GYN surgical, and post-op/pre-op cases
Performs circulating, scrubbing, couplet care, and transition nursery duties
Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; travelers may also be expected to float between facilities within the state
Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
Uses Epic EMR
Special procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
13-week contract

Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Former permanent Providence (non-Swedish) employees must have been separated for at least 3 months to be eligible

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
Former permanent Swedish facility employees are not eligible for this travel contract
Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
GYN surgeries are performed on this unit
