About the Role
As a Plumbing Service Technician, you'll run your own service calls — diagnosing issues, repairing or installing fixtures and systems, and giving customers a clear, honest picture of what's needed. A year from now, you'll have a full book of repeat customers who ask for you by name and a track record of clean, code-compliant work our office never has to follow up on.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in residential and light-commercial properties, including leaks, clogs, and fixture failures
- Install and repair water heaters, pipes, fixtures, and related plumbing systems
- Drive a company vehicle to scheduled service calls throughout our local service area
- Provide customers with clear, upfront explanations and accurate estimates before starting work
- Keep your truck stocked, organized, and ready for the next call
- Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and safety standards
- Communicate job status and any complications to dispatch and customers in real time
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum of 1 full year of experience working as a full-status plumbing technician (not an apprentice)
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and local code requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight or physically demanding spaces
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
Preferred:
- Journeyman plumbing license
- Experience with water heater installation and gas line work
- Prior experience in a residential service (dispatch-based) environment
