JOB DESCRIPTION: Health Director - Camp Nurse/EMT
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic and certified EMT or Registered Nurse who can oversee the health and well being of the children at our culinary summer program, campusSF. This individual is in charge of administering medication, first aid if needed, monitoring each student for COVID -19 symptoms, and organizing all of the medical records of the staff and students. Our program mission requires all of our programs to have a Registered Nurse or EMT on site at all times.
Our entire staff, directors, counselors and students live in the dorms, and have 3 square meals provided throughout the duration of the program and staff training.
Health Directors are responsible for the students safety 24/7. This often looks like making sure they take their meds on time and on schedule, keeping a daily log of the same, keeping a med center stocked and available, and sometimes just nursing a skinned knee and providing some attention to a kid who just needs a few minutes of dedicated care and attention.
