This role blends program leadership, platform governance, and stakeholder alignment, with a focus on enabling consistency, control, and enterprise-wide coordination across multiple teams and domains.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and govern the overall Workday platform, including tenant strategy, environment management, and release lifecycle oversight.
Define, establish, and enforce enterprise governance standards across integrations, security, reporting, and environments.
Drive platform governance across Workday capabilities such as Extend, Orchestrate, Prism, Security, and reporting frameworks.
Establish and monitor platform KPIs including uptime, MTTR, integration success rates, and release cycle performance.
Define and manage release governance processes, including Workday R1/R2 impact assessments, regression validation, and production readiness.
Lead platform monitoring strategy using dashboards and analytics tools to ensure system health, uptime, and data accuracy.
Own data governance practices, including tenant refresh controls, data masking/scrambling, and secure handling of sensitive data.
Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Procurement, Technology) to ensure alignment of platform capabilities with business needs.
Facilitate governance forums, intake processes, and cross-functional prioritization.
Develop executive-level reporting and communicate platform health, risks, and roadmap progress to senior stakeholders.
Ensure audit readiness through comprehensive documentation of changes, approvals, testing evidence, and compliance artifacts.
Enable adoption of automation and AI capabilities within governance frameworks.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a key liaison across product, engineering, and business teams.
Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with document management and governance practices
Extensive experience in: IT project and program management, Project control, reporting, and governance frameworks, Project planning and organization, MS Project or similar planning tools
Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, cross-functional initiatives across enterprise environments
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
Experience managing competing priorities and driving alignment across multiple teams
Additional Preferred Skills (Workday & Platform Governance)
Experience operating in regulated and audit-driven environments (e.g., banking, healthcare)
Understanding of enterprise platform governance, release management, and lifecycle controls
Experience with integration governance and monitoring frameworks
Experience implementing or governing CI/CD pipelines in SaaS platforms
Experience working across multiple Workday functional domains (HR, Finance, Procurement)
Knowledge of audit, risk, and compliance processes in large enterprises
Prior experience in defining platform KPIs and operational metrics
Familiarity with AI-driven automation or orchestration in enterprise platforms
This role is uniquely positioned as the central governance orchestrator across the Workday ecosystem—focused on driving alignment, structure, and control across multiple teams rather than hands-on configuration or development.
