Do you thrive where precision molding meets advanced automation? In this mechatronics-focused maintenance role, you’ll safeguard the reliability of injection molding presses and a suite of automated assets—hot runner systems, thermolators, thermocouples, bowl feeders, 6-axis robots, vision/camera systems, and PLC-controlled equipment. Your mission: reduce downtime, accelerate recoveries, and champion preventive maintenance that keeps production flowing.
-
Own equipment recovery—respond quickly to alarms, faults, and abnormal conditions with safe, structured troubleshooting.
-
Diagnose across disciplines: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls.
-
Work from schematics and documentation to service control panels, replace sensors/motors/drives/relays/wiring, and validate interlocks and I/O.
-
Support mold changes, startups, and changeovers to sustain throughput and quality.
-
Lead reliability improvements—develop, execute, and refine PM tasks by analyzing failure history and recurring issues.
-
Partner with production and operations to prioritize repairs and schedule maintenance.
-
Engage OEMs and vendors for technical support, parts, and training; recommend spares and upgrades.
-
Keep maintenance areas, tools, and parts organized and ready.
-
Record work with clarity—issues found, downtime drivers, and corrective actions taken.
No formal supervisory duties, yet you’ll guide others day-to-day on safe work practices, troubleshooting tactics, and minor repair approaches.
-
Stop or shut down equipment for safety or to prevent damage.
-
Execute repairs within scope; escalate significant failures and controls issues.
-
Recommend improvements, spares, and vendor engagement.
-
Support return-to-service after maintenance or adjustments.
-
High uptime across molding and automated cells.
