Position Summary - Compensation $100 -125,000 with 20% annual bonus
The ServiceManager – Service Operations plays a critical role in supporting the daily coordination, execution, and oversight of service activities related to overhead cranes. This manager position is responsible for helping ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of overhead crane service work while supporting technicians, maintaining compliance, and driving customer satisfaction. The manager serves as a key operational link between leadership, technicians, and customers in a fast-paced overhead cranes service environment.
Key Responsibilities – Service Operations
- Support the President in daily operations and overseeing overhead cranes service workflows
- Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate service technicians performing overhead crane maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs, inspections, and emergency service calls for overhead cranes
- Monitor job progress to ensure overhead cranes service work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Plan manpower, tools, vehicles, and parts required for overhead crane service operations
Key Responsibilities – Compliance & Quality
- Support OSHA and ASME compliance for all overhead cranes service activities
- Ensure accurate documentation, inspection records, and service reports related to overhead cranes
- Lead safety initiatives, audits, and field compliance efforts as an assistant manager
- Help maintain quality standards across all overhead cranes service work
- Onboarding, training, and development of overhead cranes service technicians
- Support technician performance, field troubleshooting, and best practices as an assistant manager
- Help maintain positive morale, communication, and teamwork within the overhead cranes service group
- Serve as a technical and operational resource for technicians working on overhead cranes
Qualifications
- Background in industrial mechanical or electrical systems; overhead cranes experience strongly preferred
- Experience in service coordination, dispatch, or supervisory support in a technical environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA and ASME standards related to overhead cranes preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Experience supporting field service teams working with overhead cranes
- Familiarity with service management or work order software
