Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC or Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our food manufacturing operations. Based at our Dover facility, your primary responsibility will be starting up critical production equipment each morning and supporting those operations throughout the day. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule with little to no weekend work required.
We welcome skilled HVAC technicians who are eager to expand their skillset into industrial automation and plant maintenance. We will provide training for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Startup: Perform daily early-morning startup/ setup procedures for all production facility equipment.
- Equipment Upkeep: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Minimize Downtime: Diagnose issues quickly and collaborate closely with the operations team to keep production lines running.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance records.
- Local Travel: Occasional travel (typically 1 to 3 times per month) to nearby company facilities. Mileage is reimbursed and travel time is paid at your regular hourly rate.
- Hand Tools: Provide and maintain standard hand tools appropriate for industrial and HVAC maintenance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- License & Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for occasional local travel.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying temperature environments.
- Attendance: Ability to maintain a consistent and reliable 3:00AM schedule. Dependable morning attendance is critical to our daily production startup.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification with a proven track record of independently servicing commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment (snack food production is a major plus).
- Familiarity with steam boilers and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in electrical installations, plumbing, fabrication, or welding.
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
