Diagnostic Technician Wanted — No Theater Actors, No Parts Cannons (Production Shop Experience Required)
If you've worked dealership or independent shop politics, you know the drama: techs blaming parts, advisors blaming techs, and customers caught in the middle while nobody actually finds the problem. We run differently. Our service advisors sell your diagnosis and your repair — they don't undersell you, and they don't bury you in unsold work. If you're tired of "just throw a sensor at it and see," this is a different shop.
We're looking for one thing: a technician who can accurately diagnose electrical and drivability issues on modern vehicles using modern equipment — not someone who guesses, swaps parts until something works, and hopes the customer doesn't come back. Comebacks cost everyone, and we'd rather hire right the first time than train someone out of bad habits.
This is a production shop. You'll be expected to hit flag-hour targets, document your diagnostic process clearly enough that an advisor can sell it and a customer can understand it, and treat every vehicle like it's the customer's second-biggest investment — because it usually is.
Hard Requirements — Please Don't Apply Without These:
- Minimum 3 years of professional production Gasoline Repair Shop experience (dealership or independent automotive repair — not adjacent trades like industrial, marine, ag, or general labor)
- Formal automotive training: a structured apprenticeship with curriculum OR an accredited automotive trade program (OSUIT, UTI, WyoTech, OCCC Automotive Repair, or similar) — in addition to any vo-tech coursework
- Your own professional tool set
- Valid driver's license with a clean record — no DUIs, no suspensions
- Reliable transportation
- Basic computer/typing skills sufficient to enter clear, professional diagnostic notes
- A genuine willingness to keep learning — automotive technology changes fast, and so do we

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
