Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
- Verify shipment contents and quantities against orders and invoices
- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate shipping records and tracking information
- Inspect products for damage and ensure proper handling
- Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding shipment status
- Operate shipping software and warehouse systems
- Assist with inventory tracking and cycle counts as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Familiarity with shipping software, ERP systems, or inventory management tools
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
- Ability to lift and move packages (max up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with major carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight carriers)
- Knowledge of domestic and international customs shipping regulations
- Forklift certification (if possible) if not, we will provide the certification.
Work Environment
- Warehouse or distribution center setting (temperature controlled)
- Will require standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
