Are you a night owl who actually enjoys being awake when everyone else is sleeping? Do you have a knack for making guests feel welcome, keeping things organized, and handling whatever the night throws your way?
Base Hospitality Group is looking for a Night Auditor to join the team at Econo Lodge Lakeview in Marquette.
This isn't your typical "sit behind the desk all night" job. As our Night Auditor, you'll be the face of the hotel overnight, helping guests, keeping an eye on the property, balancing the books, and making sure everything is set up for a smooth start to the next day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcome late-night guests with a friendly attitude and get them checked in
- Help guests with questions, requests, and the occasional "I know it's 2:00 AM, but..." situation
- Complete the nightly audit and make sure the day's numbers add up
- Process payments, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
- Answer phones and assist guests throughout the night
- Keep an eye on the property and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Handle overnight situations calmly and professionally
- Complete nightly reports and paperwork
- Keep the lobby and front desk areas clean and organized
- Communicate important guest, maintenance, and property information to the morning team
- Help get the hotel ready for the next day's guests
- Follow Base Hospitality and Econo Lodge standards and procedures
- Take care of whatever else comes up during the overnight shift
What Makes You a Great Fit?
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable. When you're scheduled, we need you there.
- Independent. You're comfortable holding down the fort overnight.
- Friendly. You understand that great hospitality doesn't stop at 10 PM.
- Detail-oriented. Numbers, paperwork, and reservations need to be accurate.
- Calm under pressure. Hotels have a funny way of throwing curveballs at the most random times.
- A good communicator. The morning team needs to know what happened overnight.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions
- Previous hotel or night audit experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.
The Schedule
Overnight | Approximately 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Thursday - Sunday)
Weekend and holiday availability will be important, particularly during Marquette's busy summer and tourism season.
