We are seeking an Experienced Installation Technician that is career minded and lives in the South Florida area. Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The candidate needs to have proven experience in all phases of an installation including the planning, installing, programming, testing/commissioning, and training.
Job Skills
Service & Installation of low-voltage equipment & systems, such as:
- Vehicular Gates – swing operators, slide operators, barrier operators, inground loops, etc.
- Access Control – telephone entry units, proximity readers, RFID readers, barcode readers, magnetic locks, door strikes, egress devices, etc.
- Surveillance Cameras – IP cameras, HD cameras, cabling, NVR/DVR head-ends, etc.
- Computer and IP networking (plus)
- Strong troubleshooting ability and first-time fix mentality
- Use of common industry test equipment.
- Use of hand and power tools.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong customer service skills and communication.
- Ability to accurately document the issues found and repairs performed
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Perform other duties as they are assigned.
Requirements Education and Experienc
- Two years of experience in the service of access control, surveillance camera, computers, telephone entry units, and gate operators.
- Must possess a valid driver license.
- Familiarity with low voltage, ADA and life safety codes.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Climb ladder to heights at times exceeding 8 feet.
- Work outside and inside depending on the service call or install project.
- Drive to customer sites within the assigned territory and, when needed, drive to customer sites in other territories to support other branch offices.
- Maintain an organized & clean company vehicle as well as manage inventory that is distributed to the company vehicle.
- Flexible schedule to achieve deadlines and able to work on-call rotation for weekends
