Position Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of company property, employees, visitors, drivers, equipment, and cargo. This position monitors facility access, patrols company premises, responds to incidents, and ensures compliance with company policies and security procedures to protect assets and support safe transportation operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to company facilities, yards, and terminals.
- Verify identification of employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors before granting entry.
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings, parking lots, truck yards, and perimeter fences.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security systems.
- Perform security inspections of gates, fences, lighting, and restricted areas.
- Maintain accurate visitor, driver, and vehicle logs.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, suspicious activity, accidents, theft, trespassing, or security breaches.
- Report incidents, hazards, and unusual activities to management and law enforcement when necessary.
- Ensure drivers and visitors comply with company security policies.
- Secure company equipment, trailers, tractors, and cargo against theft or unauthorized access, report damages
- Perform vehicle and trailer seal verification when required.
- Prepare detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of company operations and security information.
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining a safe environment.

Preferred Experience
- Security experience in trucking, logistics, warehouse, or transportation environment.
- Experience with CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and incident reporting.
- Knowledge of cargo theft prevention and transportation security practices.
- Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations is preferred.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
