Operator / Production 3rd Shift
Schmitz Foam Products is a 4th-generation, family-owned Dutch company that established its Coldwater facility in 2017. We manufacture high-quality shock and drainage pads for the artificial turf industry, primarily used for football and soccer fields — along with other innovative applications.
Our product has been used on fields for the World Series and by an NFL team!
We are currently seeking a full-time Machine Operator to join our production team. This position works as part of a 4-person crew producing premium ProPlay shockpad and drainage pad products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a new and rapidly growing company, we are looking for an experienced and dependable teammate who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with us long-term.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting pay: $16–$18 per hour
- PLUS shift premium:
- $1.00/hour for 2nd shift & 3rd shift
- $0.50 raise at 60 days
- Benefits begin at 60 days
- Direct Hire Position
Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Mixing raw materials and loading hoppers
- Operating production equipment
- Wrapping and preparing finished product
- Performing quality checks
- Making product adjustments to meet specifications
- Learning all aspects of the production process over time
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to drive a forklift (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to make mechanical or process adjustments as needed
- Willingness to cross-train in multiple positions
Skills & Experience
- Team-oriented mindset

- Strong willingness to learn
- Previous forklift and/or heavy equipment experience (a plus)
- Basic Excel/data entry skills
- Ability to use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
