Outside Sales Representative, Staffing Solutions — Torrance, CA
Exact Staff is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow our client base across the South Bay and greater Los Angeles market. In this role you will spend most of your week in the field meeting with hiring managers, operations leaders, and business owners across logistics and distribution, aerospace and advanced manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, and import/export trade, the industries that drive workforce demand throughout the South Bay and greater LA region.
Compensation
- Base salary: $45,000 to $50,000
- Commission: uncapped, paid on every placement with no cap on earnings
- First-year on-target earnings (base plus commission): $60,000 to $80,000
- Top performers: $100,000+ in total earnings

Your base salary is guaranteed. Everything above it is commission you control through the accounts you open and grow.
What Your Week Looks Like
- Prospect and cold call new employers across your assigned Torrance/South Bay territory
- Run in-person meetings per day with owners, HR leaders, and hiring managers
- Present staffing and workforce solutions tailored to each client's seasonal and year-round labor needs
- Negotiate and close service agreements, then hand off requisitions to your recruiting team partner
- Manage and grow your existing book of business through regular account check-ins and service reviews
- Track territory activity and stay current on local labor market conditions, wage trends, and competitor activity
Who This Role Is Best Suited For
You have a track record of new business development or outside sales, you are comfortable being in the field most of the day rather than at a desk, and you want a territory you build and own rather than a set list of inbound leads. This is a good fit if you like direct, visible ownership of your income and are willing to put in the prospecting volume that earns it.
Qualifications
- Proven experience generating new business and closing sales, staffing industry experience a plus but not required
- Strong in-person communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own daily schedule and territory
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily client visits
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
