Rock River Concrete is looking for a new member of our team to work on a variety of concrete projects. We are a growing company, with jobs on tilt-up panels, commercial buildings, and work on Hill Air Force Base.

Responsibilities
Main focus of work includes:
- Forming concrete
- Pouring concrete
- finishing concrete
- general labor duties
Your Role will include:
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and surface smoothing using hand tools and power tools to achieve specified textures and levels.
- Construct formwork and molds based on blueprint specifications to shape concrete structures accurately.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to schematics and technical drawings to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently on-site.
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to execute precise carpentry tasks including framing and carpentry.
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations while handling heavy lifting, scaffolding, scaffolding assembly/disassembly, and working at heights.
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, caulking guns, and trowels effectively for various finishing tasks.
- Assist in demolition or renovation activities by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new work.
- Pouring and standing panels safety with the help of a great team
- Collaborate with team members on schematics interpretation and technical drawings to ensure project specifications are met accurately
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, carpentry (including formwork construction), masonry or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with working on diverse construction projects such as commercial buildings, renovations, or restoration sites.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools and heavy equipment safely in a busy construction environment.
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices for working at heights or with heavy materials.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Knowledge of metal stud framing, flooring installation, and tilt panels
Qualifications
- Experience in labor/construction/concrete/carpentry is helpful
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks
- High School diploma
- Tilt-up panel experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of drawings
- Know how to build plumb and square
- Must be able to plan ahead and think of next steps while on the move.
- Must be able to pass a background check, as we work on Hill Air Force Base.
- Must be dependable/punctual

Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating large vehicles may be preferred depending on project needs. Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
