Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies, specialty beverages, and food items with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, answer questions about menu items, and promote product offerings
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling skills
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food preparation procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness throughout shifts
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems for retail sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures and service standards
