Position Overview
Develop and oversee the execution of mountain bike trail and BMX track maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the regular maintenance of mountain bike trails and BMX tracks

Use all safety equipment mandated in work area

Assist in the daily opening and closing of wheels program areas

Drive trails on UTVs and bikes to ensure safe rideability
-
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and request more as needed in a timely manner
-
Assist in other wheels programs as needed

Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
-
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
-
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership

Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
-
Minimum age: 18+
-
Required: 1+ yr. experience maintaining trails, tracks, or features
-
Able to obtain the Summit Driving Permit

Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)

Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
PhysicalPractical Requirements
-
Ability to stand, walk, and bike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds

Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines

Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
