Non-Affiliated Staff Position
POSITION: Occupational Therapist (10-Months, .80 FTE; Schedule to be Determined)
LOCATION: Stafford School District
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Occupational Therapist provides direct and consultative therapy services to enhance students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills.
- Provides direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Consults with team members (teachers, paraeducators, providers, etc.) regarding student needs and effective delivery of occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Conducts ongoing progress monitoring, analyzes student data, and adjusts service delivery accordingly
- Participates in PPT meetings
- Completes Progress Reports in CTSEDS in alignment with report cards and or annual review PPTs
- Completes Medicaid Billing in a timely manner
- Recommends appropriate fine motor and/or sensory processing evaluations at PPTs
- Conducts comprehensive fine motor and/or sensory processing evaluations to determine eligibility for OT services and to identify areas of need
- Maintains confidentiality as appropriate
- Collaborates with school staff and administration
- Other related task as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Connecticut
- Experience with pediatric or school-based OT preferred
SALARY / BENEFITS: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
