The City of Oakland is currently recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Systems Analyst in Finance Department. As a Senior Human Resources / Payroll Systems Analyst, you will be an integral member of the Department of Finance Payroll Systems Team. You will be key in developing innovative processes and procedures, creating user documentation, and implementing systems solutions for payroll processes.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Three years of progressively responsible experience as a systems analyst including at least two years involving a payroll/personnel application.
Desirable Qualifications:-
Experience in Oracle R12 Payroll System

Experience in New HRIS System Implementation and other mass system implementations

Experience configuring and building new pay elements, tables, and fast formulas

Proficient in Oracle SQL & Excel

Payroll Certification

Understanding of tax regulations and labor laws

Strong understanding of relational database structures, data integrity, and normalization principles
Exempt Limited Duration Employee (ELDE): This is an at-will position, exempt from the provisions of the City of Oakland Civil Service Rules (per Charter Section 902). Exempt Limited Duration positions may not exceed a period of one year.
