Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Server Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing friendly and efficient service to guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This includes greeting guests, answering questions about the menu, relaying orders to the kitchen, checking in on guests during their meal, and handling payment. Servers also contribute to the restaurant's cleanliness and organization by preparing tables and maintaining their assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet guests, seat them, present menus, take orders, serve food and beverages, answer questions about the menu, make recommendations, check in on guests, and handle any issues or complaints.
- Order Taking and Accuracy: Accurately record orders, relay them to the kitchen, and ensure that orders are delivered correctly.
- Table Management: Prepare tables with linens, silverware, and other necessary items, clear tables, and ensure cleanliness.
- Payment Handling: Process payments, whether cash or credit card, and ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Restaurant Environment: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, contribute to opening and closing duties, and assist other team members as needed.
- Knowledge of Menu and Operations: The candidate must thoroughly understand the menu, including daily specials, and be familiar with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff to provide a smooth and efficient dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in Server or related roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A hospitality or restaurant environment background is a plus.
