What We Are Looking For
More than anything, we are looking for someone who makes things happen.
The right person will be someone who can walk into a room with a group of volunteers and say, “Here’s what we’re trying to accomplish—let’s figure out how we’re going to make it great.” They should be comfortable moving between big-picture vision and the smallest logistical details.
This person should enjoy working with people, have a genuine appreciation for Jewish community, and understand that successful programming is ultimately about creating opportunities for people to connect—with Judaism, with one another, and with the Knoxville Jewish community.
KJA is a relatively small but highly engaged Jewish community. That means this position offers significant opportunity for creativity, ownership, and impact. The person in this role will have the ability to shape what Jewish communal life looks like in Knoxville and to see the results of their work directly in the community.
