Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs during playtime, ensuring they are engaged and safe at all times
- Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering basic pet care routines
- Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress, discomfort or aggression; implement appropriate restraint or calming techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly in accordance with pet care facility sanitization standards
- Support outdoor activities such as supervised walks and outdoor play sessions to promote exercise and mental stimulation
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ activities and well-being
- Assist with pet boarding and pet sitting duties, ensuring each dog’s individual needs are met
- Use phone and computer system
Skills
- Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly valued
- Background in pet sitting, dog training, kennel work or animal handling enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and animal restraint techniques ensures safe interactions
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, team lifting, and outdoor work to manage large or energetic dogs safely
- Excellent cleaning skills for maintaining a hygienic environment that promotes health and safety standards
- Customer service skills that foster trust and positive relationships with pet owners
- Pet grooming experience is a plus for supporting overall pet care routines
