Job Summary
The Machine Technician supports the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of food processing and packaging equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and executing repairs in accordance with food safety standards and facility protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Complete equipment changeovers and production line setups; document repairs, parts usage, and fabricated components.
- Submit work orders for work documentation using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor inventory of critical spare parts and supplies; initiate requests and verify receipt.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment by following sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure continuity, share updates, and report irregularities.
- Support cross-functional efforts by contributing to team goals and assisting fellow technicians.
- Prioritize safety in all operations and maintenance activities.
Credentials:
- 1–2 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Clear and effective communication and recordkeeping skills.
Pay: $18.00 - $45.00 per hour
