Job Summary:
The Warehouse Janitor / Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and company delivery vehicles. This role plays a critical part in supporting food safety, operational efficiency, and overall facility standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment with varying conditions.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubbers, and manual methods.

Remove debris, shrink wrap, and trash from warehouse floors, loading docks, and storage areas.

Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, including walkways, doors, rails, and shared equipment.

Wash and sanitize company delivery trucks, including interiors and exteriors, on a routine schedule.

Perform outdoor cleaning duties, including trash removal, sweeping, and maintaining cleanliness around docks, entrances, and parking areas.

Respond promptly to spills and ensure hazards are addressed to maintain a safe work environment.

Empty trash, recycling, and waste containers throughout the facility and replace liners.

Restock cleaning supplies and maintain janitorial stations throughout the warehouse.

Maintain cleanliness in cooler and freezer areas as required.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company cleaning protocols.

Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with guidelines.

Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs to management.

Assist with additional cleaning or facility support tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in warehouse cleaning, janitorial, or sanitation roles preferred

Experience in food distribution or temperature-controlled environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and stoop for extended periods.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work in temperature-controlled areas, including coolers and freezers.

Must be able to use cleaning equipment, including pressure washers and floor scrubbers.

Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Reliable transportation to and from the work site is required.
