Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Barista to join our vibrant and expanding café team! In this role, you will craft high-quality coffee beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Your expertise in coffee preparation, food handling, and POS systems will ensure smooth operations and memorable experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Square and Toast to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and café environment
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with café operations
- Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
- Understanding of food safety protocols, food handling, and proper food preparation techniques
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail math is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
