Overview

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with safety walks and workplace inspections
- Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards to supervision or the Safety Manager
- Support completion of safety checklists, inspection forms, and corrective action tracking for open safety items and follow up with departments until completed
- Help maintain OSHA, training, inspection, and safety documentation Assist with employee safety training sign-in sheets, rosters, and records
- Support incident reporting, near-miss documentation, and follow-up actions
- Communicate safety reminders to employees, leads, supervisors, and personnel on the production floor
- Help verify PPE compliance, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, helmets, and other required equipment
- Assist with emergency evacuation drills, safety meetings, and toolbox talks
- Support lockout/tagout, forklift/PIT, chemical safety, housekeeping, and slip/trip/fall prevention programs as directed
- Provide safety presence and support when primary EHS leadership is not on site
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee or incident-related information
Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience:
- Basic understanding of workplace safety rules and hazard recognition
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to complete reports, maintain records, and follow up on open safety items
- Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, supervisors, and managers
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to follow directions.
- Ability to work 2nd shift hours, including evenings and possible overtime as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certification is a plus
