Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work complies with local building codes and safety regulations while delivering exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components on construction sites or in existing buildings.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components according to specifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while maintaining a focus on site safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing and residential or commercial projects.
- Valid journeyman plumber license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing system maintenance, repair techniques, and building code compliance.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and schematics related to plumbing systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with gas piping systems, HVAC components, pipe installation methods, and remodeling projects.
- Ability to work safely in construction environments while adhering to safety regulations including heavy lifting procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills for client interactions.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), field service tasks, carpentry skills for remodeling projects, and handyman experience is a plus.
