The Eye Center is currently looking for a motivated and dependable Traveling Optometric Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone who is a natural leader, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in continued growth into leadership opportunities within the company. Previous leadership experience is a plus!
Previous experience in optometry or a medical office is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
This position will travel between our Raleigh area offices, including North Hills, Crabtree, Triangle, and our Cary location. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to all listed locations.
Responsibilities and qualities include:
- General knowledge of eye anatomy
- Conducting preliminary testing
- Gathering patient medical history
- Managing patient flow throughout the office
- Contact lens training
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering multiple phone lines
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt
- Previous experience with insurance verification, billing, and filing is highly preferred
Additional Information:
- We are open 7 days a week, so 2 to 3 weekends a month are required
- Pay will depend on experience
