Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children, toddlers, infants, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene management
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
- Support early childhood education by implementing teaching strategies aligned with childhood development principles
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure safety during emergencies
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with families and team members to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or youth programs teaching experience
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques
- Certification in CPR and First Aid from an accredited organization
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, families, and team members
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility in caregiving approaches
