The Director of Faith Formation is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and evaluation of all parish catechetical and faith formation programs for children, youth, and adults. This role oversees the design and delivery of faith formation opportunities that support lifelong discipleship, sacramental preparation, evangelization, and ongoing spiritual growth within the parish community.
Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. BA or MA degree (preferred) in religious education or in a related field.
Five years experience as parish DRE; comparable experience in parish ministry will be considered.
Commitment to the Mission of Epiphany Church.
Ability to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate catechetical and ministry programs and initiatives.
Exhibit excellent collaboration skills and ability to work well with parishioners, staff and volunteers.
Ability to effectively recruit, train and supervise staff and volunteers.
Proficiency with common office and communication tools, including email, Microsoft Office and related parish systems.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to present well in a group setting.
High level of organization and ability to handle multiple demands of time and manage various projects at once.
The Director of Faith Formation is the catechetical and administrative leader of all catechetical programs and therefore must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
