Parlor Doughnuts employees are sorted into four different departments, with each covering different responsibilities. The four departments are: Den, Barista, Front of House, and Kitchen. A brief description of each position follows below:
Den Duties:
- Handle dough procedures (proofing, frying)
- Glaze and decorate doughnuts
- Maintain work space
- Assist other departments as needed
Barista Duties:
- Take orders and assist customers
- Make drinks to order
- Maintain lobby and other common areas
Front of House Duties:
- Welcome and serve customers/offer menu to each new customer.
- Educate customers on any questions they may have in regards to the menu.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the store, as well as restrooms.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
- Restock display cases with fresh doughnuts.
- Build boxes, stamp bags, keep merchandise/grab and go items stocked and neat.
Kitchen Duties:
- Prepare kitchen items to order
- Manage prep lists and inventory
- Maintain work station
- Manage drive through
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Friendliness
- Interpersonal skills
- Base of culinary knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Able to juggle multiple tasks in fast environment
- Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet
- Conflict resolution
Education and Experience
- Practical experience in various food service positions
- Customer service experience a plus
