Title: Program Coordinator
Reports To: Site Director
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (25-30 Hours per Week)
Primary Function:
Assist with the oversight, development and implementation of overall programs of the Club with the primary concern for safety, programs and service delivery. This role includes supervision of staff and active problem solving with members.
Secondary Function:
Assist with community events and volunteer engagement.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
- Plan and oversee the administration of club programs and activities which support Youth Development Outcomes:
· Implement Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
· Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
· Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
· Demonstrate leadership to assure the conduct, safety and development of members.
Program Development and Implementation
2. Support the development, implementation and evaluation of Club programs, goals and settings that ensure the health, safety and growth of members.
3. Maintain a healthy and safe environment including facilities, equipment and supplies
4. Evaluate Club programs on a continual basis and verify programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
Leadership / Supervision
- Oversee staff running programs at the Club and provide support to Site Director
- Assist Site Director in recruitment, training and monitoring of staff and volunteers
- Serve as Ad Hoc Site Director at Club when Site Director is out of the building as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with parents concerning member and unit issues.
- Plan weekly staff meetings with Site Director
- Attend trainings for both program and personal development
- May need to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, functions, and/or shop for supplies. Employees are paid mileage for use of their vehicle
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club
Members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Associate Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
· Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
· Willingness to take CPR, 1st Aid and Child Abuse Prevention Training

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
