Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various automotive electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and diesel engines using advanced automotive diagnostics tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify issues related to suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems; ensure all work meets safety standards.
- Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs and parts requirements.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair findings clearly to customers while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, vehicle alignment procedures, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with FOREIGN vehicles or similar makes is preferred.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and troubleshooting tools for automotive diagnostics.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
