Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process cash and card transactions accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service in a bustling environment
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements for maximum guest flow
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or beverage options with expertise in food industry terminology
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery during busy hours while demonstrating excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that energizes the team and guests alike
- Ability to upsell effectively by understanding menu details including spirits, wine knowledge, and cocktail recipes
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process sales efficiently
- Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous for supporting kitchen operations when needed
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills necessary for processing bills and making change confidently
- Hospitality background with experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment is highly valued
